Hi & thanks for the warm welcome everyone,
I presently have Diamonds, Cordon Blues, Stars Red & Yellow fawns, Parsons & Gouldians (normal). Over the years I have kept and bred Red & blue parrot finches, Longtails, Masked finches, Emblas, Pictorellas, Tri colour parrot finches, Java sparrows. The one bird that I have continually kept for the last 30 years is the Gouldian.

G'day Country Capital,
I haven't had any mutations appear with my Gouldians, mainly because I have been able to keep my bold lines. I don't have too many Gouldians anymore so I need to buy new stock if I want to build up the numbers. That is a problem with the number of mutations now on the market. My Diamonds did however throw some slightly pied young after a couple of years of breeding and after some investigation I since found out the breeder I bought them off was trying to establish pieds at the time. I have scratched him off my list of possible new stock. I am on the look out for more stock (normal) to keep the blood lines pure. Also I have kept neophemas for many years and currently have Scarlets. I bought a normal cock to put with a hen that I had bred and produced some good birds for a couple of years and then suddenly they started to produce blue scarlets much to my disgust. Currently searching the bird sales and contacts for normal Scarlets.
Cheers,
