Moth trap light

Would a normal 'fluro' globe attract a reasonable amount of moths/insects?

Depends on the number of finches. Try the solar lights. They provide just a little night light for safety too, and you can just add another without difficulty if the quantity does not seem enough.

Sorry, should have been more specific, I'm building one of those moth traps with the fan to suck the moths into a net or something...so it won't be near the aviary itself
