Here's the thread with JusDeb's version - viewtopic.php?t=6399finchbreeder wrote:My memory says that if you look at past posts from JustDeb she had something like this for some of her birds. And cutting it down would be relavent to the number of birds. Or you could use a row of them like the chooks have for different seeds.

Looks much the same as the chook ones Gary first posted.

It does. So I wish I could remember who had the ones where the feed holding part was longer. Pipe came down wall as per those already shown, then a 45degree bend then a cap. But a long 45degree, so maybe there was a bit of pipe on the end 1st. Straining the brain to remember but it won't come to me.

Thats a great design for chooks.Looks like it may also work for finches. A seed area that could self clean husks as the bird flys off.

That's a beauty VP. Wonder how inventive hubby is feeling? A bit of pipe, some fittings and PVC glue, and an inventive hubby can do all sorts of interesting things. Hmm. Time to talk nice.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think the only way is to give it a go and see how it performs. I shoule be able to make a Mark 1 for around $20 I think.
Whilst the links do show some great devices, what I am trying to do is get a hopper which keeps the individual seed type separate, is economical to make and not too bulky. The one on ebay looks to be around the $60 to $70 mark and looks great but multiply 6 seed types by almost 30 aviaries and it becomes a very very expensive excercise Also one per seed type would make the feed station quite bulky.

I just thought you may have been interested in the design...more so with the little roof over the seed to stop spoilage

Looks like a few people will be trying it out, when I checking it out a pop up screen showed up saying "3 people had bought one in the last 24 hours"
