Here is a pic of my aviaries. The long one was my first, about 4.5 x 1.5 metres, built alongside my shed wall, with part of the second curved aviary - about 3x3 meters - attached (built September last year); the back aviary built Jan this year, and the lawnlocker aviary built July this year. They seem to be breeding - every school holidays I seem to find another one :)
In the long and curved aviary I currently have -
4 bengalese manikins
2 double bars
2 cubans (+ 2 juveniles)
7 Red headed stars (+ 3 or 4 juveniles still in nest)
3 plumheads
3 longtails
4 black headed nuns
4 gouldians
3 cordon bleus
4 St Helenas
4 ruddies (+ 3 juveniles)
4 chestnut breasted manikins
1 orange breast, 1 silverbill, 1 painted
9 king quails
All going well, hoping for some more breeding success as the weather warms up!

If you still have the young Cubans with their parents, I hope the parents are user friendly. Lost my youngun to its Dad a couple of seasons back.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. And thanks 'finchbreeder', yes, my cuban pair are friendly at the moment. I had two male juveniles earler this year that died unexpectedly at about a month old, wasn't sure why, but from reading in this forum it is clear it was probably dad, so my new juveniles will be moved out in the next week i think. Keep the suggestions and info coming, it is invaluable :)

I'm watching my Cubans - should I be watching my Ruddies too? - they have had their first clutch of 3, about 3 weeks old now. This is the first time I've had Ruddie young, will they be safe or should I move them out to my holding cage in a couple of weeks too?

No problems with Ruddies bothering their young. Just need to ring the young so you know who is who if you don't move them out of the parents avairy.
