I have used Ivermectin 1% on my gouldian finches, dose was two - three drops on back of their neck on 3rd October 2014, but the issue still persisted. then i used antibiotic two days now birds are much better.... I wonder if mights were not the issue and it was something else like flu may be?

At the time of posting, Guy, Pakistan wasn't in the profile. Only cricket tragics would know Lahore as a great Test city !!Spitfire wrote:I don't know what all the confusion is all about as the where RASHED hails from, It specifically says in his Avatar that he resides in LAHORE PAKISTAN.
Good luck with treating your birds Rashed.

Thanks guys I don't know what was wrong with my bird but after using the suggested dosage Ivermectin 1% when I saw that nothing much changed I followed the advise of one of the local friend who suggested that it might be flue and I should treat them with Amoxil suspension (Anti biotic) with water so I did that and it seemed to did the trick and with in two or three days now the bird is doing fine all the clicking and strange noises are now gone and he is chirping like normal, so all is well that ends well I guess?. Thanks all for your input and advise.

Hello Guy,
It’s my pleasure to share good news with you guys, that my gouldian pair has started laying their first clutch (three eggs) in three days. All is looking well. Any advice and guidance at this stage will be appreciated.
Regards,
Rashed
