Was that the fire near Kurri?

I collected some charcoal for my finches today. The masked finches were uber excited about it, it was very fresh from a back burn about 2 weeks ago.

Iaos, it's the fire in that area that is still going now. The helicopters are working over time to keep it under control. Happy you were able to get some charcoal. I'm going to try to collect some. Any suggestions on what should or should not be scraped? Regards.

Lovely haze coming up the valley this afternoon.
Not looking good for summer.
18deg here now, which is pleasant, only went 29 today.
Got the doors open making the most of it. Smells a little smokey though.
Forecast says high 30's toward the end of the week again.
37 is a little hot for spring.

Noticed that as i watched the weather reports over the past week. Lowish 30's here while you have been having lowish 40's Hope you and the birds and the bub are all coping well KB

It hit 40 C or 115 F yesterday. Made for hectic day. Changing water tubes every three hours, so the birds would have fresh cool water available. Same with their baths. Then at dusk, cleaned all cages and aviaries, as well as, feeders and waterers. The heat is stressful on some of the birds. Tomorrow, is supposed to be another scorcher, so I'm trying to prepare for it. Kind regards.
