I have never bread Red Faced Parrot Finches before other finches yes! I have 2 young come out of their nests this morning they have re tail feathers green bodies but orange/ yellow under beak. is this the normal or will they turn into sea greens or pies? Unable to find pictures that look the same.

What Branchez said goes for me too. Can you post pics? Or is that only once you have served your 5 post apprenticeship? What other finches are you keeping?

Sounds normal, but if the green is a bit on the darkish side & the colour under the throat is more pale orange & orange tails they may be sea-greens. Normals have green bodies & red or reddish-orange under the throat as fledglings and red tail.

Thanks guys

it sounds like I sit and wait like my gouldians, its part of the excitement of breeding. I have a large flight aviary as well as my breeding aviary and I breed a mixture of different finches for personal enjoyment.
