When is the right time to put in the gouldian breeding boxes. I have looked through some old posts and the general feeling is in February. I missed the start of the breeding season with my first pair last year but now have the privalage of watching the cock bird courtship dances with singing, jumping up and down on the perch and head shaking while the hen is by his side. To me they look like they are ready to go but as I am new to this, it is probably something that goes on for months.
Cheers

Hi Davo, every new breeder, and sometimes older ones get all excited once they see pairs starting to pair up and think it's a necessity to put in the nest boxes ,but in reality a little bit of extra time will do wonders, don't panic and at this time of year their not even close ,garyh
