my gouldian cock is building a nest soudns great if I had a hen he makes his nest then 3 days later he ruins his nest its just an open nest that he built on top of a nesting box

I only have 1 hen in my aviary that's a cuban apart from the quail hen

Hes doing what comes natural female or no female ....instinctive behaviour.

He's male there is no female arround to keep him in line, he is being ridiculous. Sounds normal to me.

Now I will just dodge the swipes from the guys.

Do the cuban and quail hens have mates?

Good luck with getting mates for all 3 then.
I'm sure anyone on here who can help and is near by will contact you.
If I wasn't on the opposite extreme of the country I could help with a cinnamon quail cock (or 3)
