Glueing water container?

Hi
I was wanting to glue a water container in a carry box. I have at home liquid nails or roof sealant. Are these toxic or should i be using something else.

Liquid nails is perfect or good quality double-sided tape.

Glue it in a position where a frightened finch will not be able to jam itself between the water dish and the wall of the carry box, and be unable to escape, with disastrous results

Also if possible glue it days or longer before required to use.Also leave the door open to vent out fumes while drying.Better be safe then sorry having birds arrive high on glue fumes or worse
