Just wondering who on AFF will be at Orange this year?
Here's a link to the sale details - http://orangebirdsale.com/
Maybe we should organise to meet up and take a photo for Diane?

Im still considering.
I might do a whirlwind visit like you are planning or I may make a weekend of it and the boss and my 2 boys.
Better start doing the foundation work now so when I spring the idea on here next week she won't threaten to let my birds go.

Yes we will be there. Same room booked and lets hope I do not demolish this car on the way.'
Doesn't seem that it's heading for 12 months since then
Please no rain this year.

Yes, no re-enactments thanks E Orix. Are you going to the Sat dinner? Mike Cannon is speaking this year.E Orix wrote:Yes we will be there. Same room booked and lets hope I do not demolish this car on the way.'

There's roughly 8 or 9 of us from the Sydney area heading up. About half of us are selling but all will be at the dinner on Saturday evening.

If you all go then maybe you can sneak out on the Sat evening for a drink or two...elferoz777 wrote:Im still considering.

We're leaving my joint 4am-ish Sat morning but we're staying Saturday night.

No we don't go to the dinner these days as we want to get our birds home.
It's a big drive for us and we really need to leave on the Friday.
We stay Friday night, spend the evening together in the Club which is most enjoyable I may add.
The birds are benched in the afternoon and well looked after so we can then relax until early Saturday.
Orange Sale must be close to being the main NSW bird sale and it would be hard not to attend.

Will be attending with a few others from the Goulburn Valley in Victoria.
Considering hiring a mini bus this year which will give us more room for E Orix and his offsider if he gives an encore. Tight fit home last year.
Looking forward to the weekend

If it's raining I may put up the white flag.
It's unbelievable the hassles we have had getting to the sale.
It seems to be since the sale moved to that great new venue.
We have driven through flooded roads and told to turn back but got through.
The following year once again through flooded road going up then unable to get home the normal way so
across to the outskirts of Sydney and back down the Hume Hwy. Just a small detour instead of a 400km trip
home it turned out to be something like 750kms
Then last year 15kms south of Orange I demolished my car. after hitting water across the road.
Apart from demolishing my LTD the local gave me a $175 neg driving fine for sliding off the road.
They are not on my Xmas card list that's for sure.
The good thing that came out of it was my good friends came to my assistance without a quibble.
Maybe I should put the white flag up though.

Yes, it has been wet (or snowing) many years in a row now. A bit rough of the copper to book you, nevertheless you were lucky not to be injured. I know a few of us were concerned and then surprised to see you at the sale as if nothing had happened. Hoping for fine weather for the organisers and to ensure you do attend this year.E Orix wrote:If it's raining I may put up the white flag.

Our contingent of FSA members from Sydney is expanding. I think we have about a dozen going along now.
Sounds awesome. I've another 20,000.00 to spend. Don't know if I want to invest in any more birds though. I really enjoy viewing the pics posted of the sales, for what that maybe worth. If I do, I might just blow it on more birds at pet shops.
