Thank u everyone for such a warm welcome! I have about 20 birds of a variety of black head normals yellow back white heads red heads red headed white breasted cock and black headed white breasted cock and also the grey heads from from the yellows breeding with the black heads. I always try to breed either hybrid to natural or same coloured heads but there is always the love factor in the aviary which I have no control. I have a couple of breeding cages inside and keep my old favourites inside. i actually found this forum thru my enquiries re frozen milk seed. I feed my birds Seed , crumbles with hard boiled egg in breeding season I also give them supplements.

I cannot believe how hooked I have become on my bird keeping! I will post some pics shortly.

The best breeding supplement is also the best moulting supplement. It is natural green seeding heads of grasses.
