Fellow forumites,
As I wake this morning I am watching the idiot box and seeing the effect TC Marcia will have on the Queensland area and north coast of New South Wales. It certainly looks like a nasty system which will make landfall in the next couple of hours as a Category 5. Serious stuff considering Cyclone Tracey was only just a Category 4. I know we have a number of members living in those areas so my thoughts go out to you and your families. Keep safe and hope all goes well.
Ken.

I will second that, been watching the news reports this morning and it looked bad then and that was before the main event!

I have some staff in Rocky and they have weathered the storm OK - in there words just a bit of wind - such is the resilience of some people.
I have recorded just shy of 240mm in my rain gage for the last 24hrs. BOM are forecasting up to another 300mm tomorrow - not worried about the rain more so the wind.
Birds seem to be coping reasonably Ok.

Today is a beautiful day and the sun is shining with a nice SE breeze blowing. The birds have coped really well having made good use of the undercover parts of the aviaries.
All up approx. 370mm of rain.
Time to get in an make hay while the sun shines.
