It doesnt seem that long ago that the gouldian breeding season finished ( mine were breeding up until October ) now it has started all over again.
I have only kept 8 pair of gouldians , but they have now all mated and 3 pair have nested producing a total of 15 eggs.
I live not far from Sydney and was wondering if people from other areas were having the same results as me?

Cheers

I have 11 pairs that I set up early January. The ferility check for the first 5 nests was 22 out of 28. Have 2 more nests just started incubating and 2 others nest building. Also have tri-colour parrot finches with young, sea greens just fledged their second clutch and 2 pair of fawn saints on eggs, so It's a pretty good start to the season.

only have 6 pairs set up this year, 5 pairs are sitting tight, cant get close to have a look due to other birds nesting in close proximity. 6th pair have 6 week old babies in the nest.
diamonds, rccb's, orange breasts, masked are all sitting as well. have my fingers crossed that the pictorellas, plumheads & chestnuts join the fun

I have 2pairs in the nest at present and should with any luck hatch this week ;)

I have another 6pairs that I have only just put the nest boxes into the aviary's, so we will see what happens.

Great to so the birds getting really active though. Nearly all the hens beaks are black, so they should be ready to go :)
