I was lucky enough to get away with the family for a week in the country.

My in-laws house sat for us to look after the dogs and the birds. Dogs got walked twice daily and birds got looked after well. While I was away, I had four gouldians fledge, three gouldians hatch and both pairs of masked finches started nesting. Just to top things off, the house was spotless, the lawn was mowed and there was more beer in the fridge than when I left :D

A nice way to finish a holiday.

Cheers Ian

That's the older generation for you . .

Don't expect the same results when your kids come to do it . .

Especially the beer bit

sounds like your folks should do the rounds....send them my way will ya!
seriously though, I think their is a real need for this type of service....active retiree's could easily fund their way around aus.
forum's like ours would soon spread the good word or otherwise, regarding their competency.
I have horses, dogs, chooks and birds so rarely take holiday's.
maybe I should retire and take it on..... 8-)....one day.
imagine the bird setups to drool over....
