Maggots please

It could be too late to get them onto eating maggots.
Cordons will take Meal Worms far quicker, at times frustrating watching
them just eating the heads and flicking the rest but generally others eat those bodies
or the Cordons go back to them.
It is far easier to keep and feed out Meal Worms.

Hi all, you may be right, bought mealworms and the female cordon LOVES them. Almost takes it from your hand.

That's great Paul,the smaller the better mealworms otherwise they just bite their heads off as E Orix said.As for buying maggots from a tackle shop,they are blowfly maggots which are too big for small waxbills.

As I have not been here for a period of time .( Thanks to crap internet at home ) Paul have you checked the quokka a lady out my sells them from time to time but keep a constant supply would mean starting a fly box , if you would like pm and I can give you the number for bugs and things out in Olbury its out near oakford way . they some times sell the mini mealies .. Thx for the info, I was hoping locally to get some maggots, anyway mealworms cordons just bite of the head of the meal lies,WHY, fussy buggers.
