I was after Chaffinches for an outcross and picked up a good young pair and originally I was after male Green Singers
and located a chap with 5 birds. I asked him how much for the 5 and when he stated $200 the lot I couldn't get my
money out quick enough. Also picked up a young pair of Tri Coloured PF for a mate for $100.
As I wasn't after any other species I didn't really ask for prices. There were Aberdeens for $850 and a reasonable range of finches
but I didn't see one Melbas, Auroras or any Pytilias. I hope they aren't the next group to be lost.
There were a few mutation Gouldians but I think I saw more Gouldians for sale at the NSW Finch Club sale earlier in the year.
There seemed to be a large number of Parrot species but I guess the club running the sale is a Parrot group they should be
well represented.
I enjoyed just mixing and talking to other bird people, all up a good day.
