Colourbond or Gal

Building a new complex wondering which is going to be best Gal or Colourbond for the Dividers and what colour will make the birds stand out. Thinking the Cream or Paperbark colours (light shades).
Also on the roof what laserlite colour are most of you are using or have found better.

for the dividers of mine ive use the wheat coloured colourbond and it does make the birds stand out pretty good and got them at a good price $5 a sheet from the local swap meet still looked brand new and for the exterior ive used a heritage green i think it is a does look good together and also to keep me mum happy lol

i have zinc all over as in roof and sides with wire fronts. i would of used colour bond but i got the zinc rather cheap it also is the good thick roofing stuff and not the paper thin stuff. dont use lazer lite either but i should thou, but there is another problem with that as some colours are hotter than others i think the bronze colour is the best thereis some where on this forum a topic on such stuff as there is a big differance in roofing and the effects it can have on your birds.....pete

Colourbond is best,White sheets are good.You used to be able to get a sheet coloured on both sides dont know if you still can.I used zincalume for the dividers on mine due to costs involved.
I believe opal or apollo lazerlight is the best poycarbonate sheeting for letting in light but not to much heat.opal letting in more light,and apollo keeping out more heat.I have some clear sheets in walls and they are to hot and the bird fly into them.

Doesnt the lazer light sheeting have a UV rating ?

When we built our patio I researched laser light sheeting for optimum heat resistance to light control and the opal won the day.
Re - the avairys only laser light is some green (got given it) I keep on the lower half of the south side to keep the wind off fledgelings. Because it is so easily broken put it on the outside of the wire. I have the plastic sheeting with wire running through it over the wire on my roof for predator and weather protection. Aivarys are coragated iron cause I got it cheap, and no it does not show the birds up well. See avatar.

oh yes with the polycarbonate i use i think the opal sheeting

Opal is the best if you are going to have a planted aviary, they use it for horticulture as it has the best light and heat ratio. I have the bronze one and opal nearby and the opal always seems cooler.

coming from a plastic industry make sure you place the ploycarb the rigt way or it will fail with in 2 years uv proction is single sided

Be careful using lazer lite sheeting as it can create oven like conditions.
I used a white shade cloth on the non dry areas.This particular shade cloth is 50% and was produce for the plant growers.
Unlike green shade cloth which makes plants bend away to the light this shade cloth seems to have no effect and the grasses etc just grow vertical.
I have one section which has been on an aviary top for some 5 years now and it is showing no ill effects from the elements.
I also made light pine frames and stretch some of this shade cloth over it.These are used as element protectors,I simply place the frame over an area needing some form of protection ,wire it down and it does not disturb the nesting birds or other birds in the area.When not required it is easily removed.
When it rains the water goes through but does not beat down and damage growth. It is well worth thinking about
