This was one of the first posts I put up 3 years ago.

Since then I have had 2 large Col and Western aviaries build and they were cheap and more than adequate.

I do like the idea of building my own and there is a little bit of space (3.5x 3...more than enough for another aviary)for me to plan this.

The trade off is the boss wants a retaining wall ,17K worth to build and it will mean I have to remove my current aviaries until its done.

The only up shot is I get a little more space to build another aviary...Still cheaper than selling and buying a house with a bigger block at the moment, which was a plan we had considered.

I built mine aviary 4x1.5x2.1 m all from marine plywood on timber frame and concrete base.
It is in Sydney, keeps very warm. It cost a bit, however great house for birds.
