how do you manage any new birds you have just purchased.
by this I mean, what type of things you do for them from the moment of pruchase/pick up until they are released into your aviary

Mine go into a good size wire cage in the doorway of the garage , half covered with a blanket , observed for a few days and if nothing funky pops up wormed and put into their permanent homes.
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

straight home, no stops. Into a quarantine cage around the other side of the house. Just watch them over the next few days to make sure they settle down. After 2 weeks moxidectin, then watch again. If they ok and all birds in the aviary they will live in have been ok they get put into their permanent home. Soak quarantine cage in bleach dry in the sun.
