Just a quick question on compatability. So far ive got gouldians, doublebars, redbrows, plumheads, Painted firetails and red cheek cordons all in the same aviary.
Im thinking of getting rid of my 2x pairs of double bars and plumheads. How do u rekon one pair of yellow billed longtails would go? All that concerns me is agression and any nest material theft being carried out by longtails.
There just such a gorgeouse bird.
Thx for the input.
Ben

If it was me I would be keeping the double bars, cause I love the little sweeties and don't have any right now.
But unfortunately you are too far away and I have reached my avairy capacity till I do a little sorting and selling, or better yet talk "he who prefers tools" into building me another avairy.

I found them to nice birds, but would not house them with small waxbills. too date my pair have killed 3 orange breast hens, 1 cordon hen and a tri nun.
Only house them with equally shall we say, outgoing birds such as zebs, etc. NOT double bars, cordons, OB's, etc.

I have 3 pairs of doulble bars in with a pair of orange breasts and no probs here , I did have to rehome the longtails though , while they werent aggressive they are boof heads have a "I do what I want " attitude.
They roost wherever they want and in who evers nest box , harmless but annoying.
