Heaps of termites flying tonight around the black lights. Best livefood ever. I'll try and get some footage of the birds eating them in the morning.

Same here in Bellbird, they always worry me when they come to the back veranda light, when they drop down your not sure where they will end up, so we usually turn off the light, that's if we notice them, I have 3w led dimmable lights in all my aviaries Im not sure if there bright enough to attract them.

Why are they attracted to black light? My better half is asking - I think I used to know but can't remember. :?

Had more around the street lights and lights on the house than near the moth trap. Only got about 20 or 30 of them last night.

They can see and are more attracted to Ultraviolet maybe :idea: Craig

For some reason non here near Albury.
Lots of other insects, currently running 3 moth traps which on good nights will
fill a large ice cream container. Moths and midges of all sizes but no Termites.
