Good value Coopex supply??

Does anyone know where you can get Coopex at a decent price? Happy to get bulk lot in order to find value.
These brown ants are being becoming their usual warm weather nuisance here as it warms up & its time for chemical warfare. Just lost a nest of 4 young TCPFs yesterday to them so they've crossed the line.

Thanks for that. I've already dusted with fossil flour which provides a mild deterrent. But that should give a bit more punch which is what I'm after. Much appreciated.

Only ever tried the spray (made up) $10 or so to make 5 litres, works fine. Dust? Not so sure.

I agree Ken, it should always be mixed with water and sprayed,once the water dries/evaporates it leaves a residual amount of Coopex. Water also helps the product get into all nooks and crannies where the bugs hide. Craig

I am not sure which species of brown ant you have.
The Coastal Brown Ant is prevalent in Perth https://www.agric.wa.gov.au/pest-insect ... eaded-ants
This is a very small ant, the workers being only 2-3mm, but they are insectivores and will tackle larger prey.
They do not take most baits, preferring fatty rather than sugary meals.
Amdro is highly effective, but wickedly expensive. It does wipe out the colonies rather than just thin the number of workers.

I WA you can send ants to the Ag dept and they will identify them for you and provide advice on control
Not sure how it works in other states.

I have been having a lot of trouble with black ants the last few weeks, in the house & outside, I make my own baits by putting 1 teaspoon borax or boric acid to 6 table spoons of sugar added to 2 cups of boiling water, it works great.
If the brown ants like fatty food, I did remember reading about mixing borax or boric acid with peanut butter some time ago, but I have no idea on dose rates, I think you better hide it in a jar or something as mice love peanut butter & might steal it.

Go online to EBay see what is on offer. Just type in "Coopex Spray"
Pick a company and if you want multiple sachets then make contact with them and see if they
will negotiate. From experience it works.
