Hope this is not a silly question, but will birds use long, thin green grass for nesting or does it have to be dry?.

Some prefer green some prefer dry. I always give a mix as most will learn to use both if available. And if you have a dead palm tree take the fibreouse centre out and give it to them. They love it.

Thankyou.I have a paddock with 30cm long, thin grass [not swamp grass]that would make good nesting material. Will cut some and let it dry out and throw in some green stuff as well.

Cut some full length and some half to allow for differnt size pieces to weave with as well, as that is something else the birds like variety in.
