Yep Sunbird...we had them at certain times of the year building right next to BBQ roof (Mackay)...they certainly aren't afraid to raise their young close to humans

That's what buckled me, didn't know Authur's location. Have seen them live, but never the nest.

My guess would have been coastal from the Cape to about Sarina / Saint Lawrence
Can't remember them around R'ton as a kid but Rocky is not really coastal
VP is a Hervey Bay boy, so he may be able to join a few dots
Have you seen them in the Hunter iaos?
