Hiya, I have recently joined (or become active in) the finch forum. Im a relative newbie at 33 resurecting a teenage interest in keeping finches a couple of years ago. Always keen to improve what I do and so very much appreciate forums like this where we can share ideas. Cheers, Trigger.
The birds feast on Lebanese cucumber while the rest of us have to settle for the continental variety...says it all really!

Thanks for the welcome all. I have 5 breeding aviaries of various sizes. Smallest is 1.2x1.8x2. I keep a variety of finches including gouldians, red stars, parrot finches (red face and tri), cordons, OB, ruddies and a pair of Turks that are infertile but look pretty in my planted aviary. I'm motivated to constantly improve the conditions of how I keep my birds - usually resulting in me harrasing a few finchos that have been doing it a lot longer than I. I'm sure this forum will be a means for me to divert some of that harrasmemt away from them ;-) I enjoy seeing happy birds (the fact that they enjoy leb cucumber when we humans eat the cheap continental variety is testament to this  ) just getting the hang of this forum and working out how to search for topics that I have questions about (eg, automatic watering systems, best brush and methods, live food etc) A wealth of info in this place. If Im quiet it is only because I am busy absorbing what has gone before me

Have fun wearing the search button, at the top right hand corner of your screen, out. There is lots of useful info on here.
