Lucky you....Ive only ever had the one baby. She has now grown up and now she and her mate have just taken possession of a nest so fingers crossed.

I wish mine would do something. At the moment I have the male dropping bark in the wicker nest, the hen patching a hole with the bark from the inside and the male on the outside of the nest pulling it out again and dropping it back in for the hen to pacth the nest............talk about ground hog day for these two. It is quite comical to watch.

My yellow firetails are about as clever as johnp s , they have decided to build a nest in the grit/eggshell/charcoal cup only problem is all the other birds remove the scaffolding to get to the grit mix , so then they start to build again blah blah blah ..... :roll:
