Moving birds will quite often put them off the lay. As long as you have a good selection and plenty of nests/nesting sites, things should be fine. If you have had canaries for some time you would already know to have more nests than pairs of birds. And canaries are great "teacher" birds when you introduce new types of seeding grasses.

Just had 2 baby Gouldians come out of nest, we didn't know they were nesting. first ones since moving the birds to the new aviary, it's all good.
