What's a fair price for a pair in WA?
I see pairs for $160 and $180 on gumtree whilst at the same time see cocks for $35 and hens for $80- $100 when they are available. Doesn't add up to me??
How much?

How much? The price of birds on Gumtree or in price guides from avicultural societies are only a guide or what the seller
is asking for the birds. In the end the seller can ask what he/she wants and then it's up to the buyer if he/she is willing to pay
the price asked.IMO

I paid $120 for a pair from a local breeder. The nearby dealer charges $260pr.
The price is whatever people are willing to pay, basically. It all comes back to supply and demand.

And sometimes it depends on if they are young or mature as well. And unrelated are worth more than related too.
