So I am used to having the Kimberley to gather my nesting material easily! But I am unsure where to collect it here in Perth. I've seen small bags of swamp grass in some shops but I don't like the price tag that comes with it. Where do the Perth breeder get their nesting material from, what do you use. Any help would be great! Want to start stockpiling for when I have my new setup finally here at home!

Bought a huge bag from the pet shop in Canning Vale on Ranford road last year, Make sure you treat the grass before putting in nest boxes (Gouldian's),
two years ago I had a good start to the breeding season which quickly ended in disaster. hens not sitting, Gouldian's scratching, only conclusion I came to the grass I purchased had mites in it.

Not in the City obviously. And this is more a next year and into the future question/suggestion. I assume you have talked nice to some of the forumites about getting grassplants of the various types for your new yard? Because mostly I use these, with the addition of suitable grasses and weeds from the yard, and the odd torn up white tissue.

It maybe a good idea to go to the finch club sale in the morning  anything in a bag isn't going to be cheap form dealers, have a look at getting some quality meadow hay , its finer and good for out nest construction . then spurge on the other stuff. swan valley had some reasonable prices last time I looked on emu feathers . FYI the finch club use Jandakot stock feeds , so that could be a good starting point ..Pete
