Trying colony breeding for the first time, Red Face Parrot Finches and Tri Colour, any tips , does and donts, They will be in separate aviaries . 4 males 5 females. cages 4.5mt /2mt/ 2mt high , Thanks Grant

Seems like a reasonable setup to me.

Yes it is a good sized aviary for that many prs, the main problem with both those species is female harassment by other males when they are nesting. When the hen comes off the nest to feed the spare males will try to mate with her which results in a lot of stress/exhaustion. This happens more so with BF than the other two but it can happen,imo one pr per aviary gives good results. CraigK.I.
