I'm doing the same with Javan munias as I have been unable to find any that look like the natural bird but after 4 years I'm up to 3 that meet my standards. I feel that Pure Javan's, Javas and even the comoro weavers I have no longer exist in Autralian aviaries but I would like to see the "reconstituted" birds brought up to a point that we can be proud of.
I'm desperate to find Rufous backed mannikins as I believe they are heading down the same path
I hope that I'm wrong though
