Good luck with that. A word of warning, best not kept with canarys. Some of the silly idiots think cause canarys are the same colour they would make good mates.

Got my pair of YH/WB/GB's !!!!
and also brought another pair, RH/WB/GB COCK, with a BEAUTIFUL YH/WB/GB HEN, i think i brought all the yh, wb gouldians at the sale bar 1 male which was from the same breeder.
do others find the yh/wb/greenback gouldians hard to come by???
i saw my first silver gouldians today!! i think the asking price was $400 each. did'nt get a really good look as there was a big mass of people around the selling boxes.

Lucky you!
I think the YH are not the most favourite of the Gouldians. I only saw about four YH's at Gawler, and they had the PC.
I didnt find my WC YB gouldians at Gawler but there is always Tanunda and Enfield in May
Of the little you saw, were you impressed or not?

from what i saw they looked okay.
for the price and the heart ache of them not living that long, its not even worth getting them i feel.
prefer more colour in my avairies, the silver didnt do it for me,
i do love blues although i haven't seen a blue gouldian with my own eyes yet!

i went.
managed to get hens for my widowed OB and cordon as well as the best pair of cubans at the sale (believe me, i checked) and a pair of normal goulds a RH male and BH hen. for the first time ever i think i bought a batch of finches that i got home and was happy with. all are in good condition, are active, bright eyed and feeding etc.
unfortunately i can't say the same for the damn impulse buy california quail (i planned on trying kings). not only do i suspect they will be a right pain, both are in very poor condition. this is the biggest problem with the bird sale with all the chaos - it can be very difficult to determine a good buy sometimes.

I guess they must have had a successful breeding year if they had silvers to sell.
