Painted Finch having trouble flying.

I have notice the last 2 days one of my female Painted Finches has trouble flying off the ground to the perches. It is one of the ones I bred she is a couple of months old. She is spending alot of time on the ground and can't seem to fly up to the branches etc. I caught her and kept her inside last night she does not seem to be sick but can't work out whats wrong with her. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

my painteds spend 90% of the day on the ground.
was she able to fly properly before this or has she always had difficulties?
if it has only just happened recently are the flight feathers ok on the birds wings?
could just be bruising if she flew into something

Thanks for your reply. This female painted finch is ac couple of months old (one of the ones I bred) she has always been able to fly up to the high perches. It's only been the last 3 -4 days I have noticed she cannot fly very high. I have put big branches down for her to climb up to the middle level branches of the avairy. When she flys the wings make a real flutter noise as I said I have caught her and cannot seem to find anything wrong. I will keep my eye on her and hopefully she will come good.
