Hi, I'm a new member orginally from the UK where I used to breed and show Australian finches, I sold them up a few years ago before we left the UK but now I have decided to build an aviary and start keeping them again over here in the Gold Coast, Australia.
I mainly kept Gouldian finches but in the UK I had to keep them in a heated bird room so looking forward reading how members keep them over here.
I'm still thinking about what type of avairy I want to build, I like the mutation gouldians and the challenge of breeding the different colours so probably need individual cages / flights for this but I also like to see them flying in a nice planted avairy.

Welcome Neil. Were you lured to this place by seeing flyers plastered all over a car?

Welcome, hope you enjoy Australia, the Forum and keeping finches. Not necessarily in that order.
