Hi all quick question my aviary is 5 metres long x 2.5 metres wide x 2 metres high with large flight and good covered area.
How many mixed pairs would suit. Your own experience with this.
Thanks.

There is a certain amout of how long is a piece of string to that question. Are you going to have birds that are active and like the upper part of the avairy? Are you going to have birds that are docile and like the lower part of the avairy? Answers to these questions will effect the answer to your question. Compatability is a big part of what can and can't go in the avairy. And overstocking is an easy trap to fall into, no matter how long you have them. So first question, what birds do you want to keep in order of preference?

It depends on what you want to achieve. If you want optimum breeding results, go with three pair. If you just want a big beautiful collection of birds to look at, you could probably go up to 12 pair (depending on the species).
