Mine have seed avaliable at all times, the seed also has a vitamin and mineral supplement dry mixed in with it. They get a mix of shell grit and crushed egg shell (every now and again I put in some cuttle bone) every day. I alternate daily between a commercial egg and biscuit mix, a finch cake I make and softfood (paswells finch softfood mixed with chicken starter pellets, greens and grain seed mix and tonic seed mix. I also offer these on the same tray on alternate days aswell fozen Australian peas and corn, sprouted seed (grown in a pot) and a mix of taste of Africa seeds and herb seed mix. Also they get seeding grass heads daily. I put some wombok in every few days aswell and silverbeet once a week. The cordons, oranges and masks get lots of termites and mealworms occasionally.
Keeping: fresh air 😅

The fruit peels are actually part of the vinegar fly "trap" I figured that they are clean and fruit is often given to parrot-finches (which I don't have apart from Gouldians) so itr can't harm them. I've never actually seen the birds feedin from the "trap" but the option is there should anythning feeling insectivorous be interested (eg my stars, Hecks, Diamond Sparrows & cut-throats with young).
