It is a good idea to empty the nest after each batch but it depends on if you are quick enough. Sometimes the female lays more eggs straight after the babies leave home. You don't have to replace nesting materials every batch but the nest should be tipped up to remove as much loose poop and dust as possible. Some birds also keep the nest cleaner than others and the clean nests can be left for longer.
