Hi every body just a quick question my birds have had some more chicks again had six one day next day only one left in nest there are no mice. I do have parrots in same cage will the other birds eat them as there is no sign of them on the aviary floor. Thanks ray

Young tossed would be eaten...they usually toss young when not enough livefood

I would guarantee that the parrots are the culprits. Imo parrots and finches should never be kept together even Neothema's as they are too inquisitive and dangerous to finches legs and will kill just fledged finch young as well as young hatched in the nest to eat as protein.

What sort of Parrots do you have them with? Is there lots of brush for fledglings to hide in?
