Im wondering if finch claws can be trimmed and if so how or who by?
Im new to finches and today i noticed that his back claw had caught itself on his leg (wrapped around).
I managed to catch him and untangle it but wondering if they can be trimmed at all.
Im talking approx 1.5 cms long

There is probably a right and wrong way to do it.But I myself on the rare occasion that I have had to trim a nail.(mainly on munias or mannikin's) I have used a sharp pair of nail scissors. And as when trimming dogs nails, don't cut back into the pinkie coloured area where the blood flows. If in doubt cut back only a little at a time. And don't squash the nail with blunt clippers.

have some cornflour on hand just in case ....if you get a bleeder then pack the cornflour into the bleed it will form a crust and stop the bleed

I just use the same nail clippers as on my own nails. But watch out for that blood vessel down the middle of the nail, and like the others said if in doubt a little at a time. But don't leave it, a nail that long could catch on something and hang your bird.
