wormers i can use

hi, im new to the forum and only have a few finches atm and id like to get a small bottle of wormer for them but the moxi plus is way too much in qty.can anyone let me know which brands are safe please ? i have nuns.

You could try something in the Aristopet range, but they're not particularly good products. The syrup with praziquantel* is probably the least bad.

Do you know any finch breeders in your area? Perhaps you could ask for a swig of their moxi?

*Praziquantel is the "plus" in Moxidectin Plus.

DON'T BUY ARISTOPET, WHATEVER YOU DO! I used it for a while there but after the first 3 wormings, the worms just kept coming back
I use Panacur 25, and it is absolutely fantastic, $50 for a litre bottle, but still you get more bang for your buck than Aristopet at $28 a bottle, which only lasts for 1 worming

Ok. Hopefully I can find somewhere that sells it in the middle of brisbane. Then again, it is only a 25 min drive to the nearest produce and agricultural store which probably sells it...

Go to your local avian vet and explain what you need and why. They will usually sell you a bottle (mine do a 250ml from the stuff they keep in stock)

Thanks so much, I don’t know any breeders but I could ask my vet hopefully they’ll sell me some.i looked at the aristopet One so thanks for the advice on that too
