Hello everyone.
Can I use Avimec for air sac mites. If so how should I use it on my Gouldians.

You can although it is not registered as an Air sac mite treatment in Australia.
The active in Avimec is Ivermectin, mixed with Benzyl alcohol it is a topical treatment.
Vetafarm also manufactures a product called Scatt which is available internationally as and Air sac mite treatment. It however has Moxidectin as the active.
Use as per the directions on the packaging remembering it needs to be placed on bare skin, which is reasonably easy to do with Gouldians.
When handling the bird find a spot that best suits you, I recommend the thigh.
One drop. Repeat as per instructions.
