Hi all,
Just joined the forum and saying Hi to all.
I first got into the hobby of keeping and breeding finches and canaries when I was 8 years old, when dad and I built our first aviary using the old outhouse as the sheltered component of the aviary. The outhouse was packed with Teatree bush with the flighted area of the aviary having a grassed surface with bottlebrush trees, staghorn and birds nest palms planted in the aviary. During the next 50 or so years, moving house, marrying etcetera I have built a further 6 aviaries and have kept and bred different species of finches with Gouldian's and Painteds being my all-time favorite finches to keep and breed.
Thanks.
DRS
