New to Gouldian's

Hi there have bred lot's of other finches but this is going to be my first time trying Gouldian's.

I would like to breed red, black and yellow face.
My question is if they are in the same aviary will they stick to the same mutation like yellow faces ,black faces or will they just mix?

Other thing is do they pair up and stay together forever so if I introduce a new pair that won't muck up a breeding pair?

hi ,gouldians will breed together with any head colour they will also change partners each year if they want to,some may stay together but not always the case,cheers garyh

Thanks I think I will just keep them separate then.

They are also up for liaisons outside the pair, so you never quite know the parentage even if you know who has paired with who
