Hi,
I want to breed a pied sea green parrot finch can it be done with a male sea green and a pied hen and what would be the expectation this pairing

Yes it can be done. Pied is dominant so most if not all young will be pied but usually not heavy pied. Pied increases as they moult and every consecutive moult after that in all pied rf parrot finches.

So far this season I have bred one sea green pied , pied red faced parrot finch and one normal. In this pairing.
I have also bred sea green parrot finch pied and pied normal. Results 2 pied normals and one pied sea green

Seagreen mutation is sexlinked recessive so most of your young will be split but only cock birds as you can't get split hens only colour and normals hens. It's confusing but unless you know the inheritance of the seagreen mutation you don't know what you have unless it is a coloured seagreen mutation sex wise.

I also have brought some pairs of pied sea greens and one pied sea green hen to place with my sea greens. So far this year I have one pied sea green hen, one sea green chick. And I feel I have some spit to sea greens.
