I have breeding cabinets that I use successfully for Gouldians. I'm thinking that I might try something different in one of these cages, so what other finch varieties are suitable for cage breeding?
Obviously Zebras and Bengalese, but anything else? Star Finches, Cordon Blues?

It's very difficult to breed finches other than the ones you mentioned if they have been bred in a large aviary. They won't settle down and don't like confined spaces. The finches being bred in cabinets overseas don't know any difference and have never had liberty like Australian or foreign finches bred here plus overseas finches are predominantly fostered by bengolese finches in cabinets.
But give it a go but make sure that they have plenty of cover and privacy

I'd love to hear what birds you end up with success with in cabinets. The only finches I have had success with other than those you already named were Java finches. Though the had previously bred In an aviary environment so im not sure if it counts
. They seemed to adapt quite well
