I have heard that the blues only live 12 to 18 mths, and there quite dear

yes all depends on how you keep them if just out in the avairy with no heat supply probaly wont make it through the winter. the hardest part is getting them through the moult in all have bred bout 20 and have only had 3 through the moult have tried to breed the blues to split nut have not been able to yet. i beed split to split so have a 25% of getting blues. i have been offered $700 for an adult cock but knocked the offer back.but then 3 months later it died. i wasnt very happy

well not in avairys any way
but have heard of them living a long time in a controlled environment

As in the likes of a bird room breed in smaller cages

Have seen them for $250 a bird.half that for a split.

i know some one that was selling blues for 500ech and splits for 200 then pastel blue for 650-700 and silvers for 800 but were cabinet bred but was slowly being left outside to get acclimatized
bought a split from him and still have got it and that was 2yrs ago and is breeding blues and the odd colour in me thread need help with identifying
not sure if hes still keep them. have heard rumours of him not breeding them anymore.
