I have now stopped using Ratsak as I noticed a wild Dove eating it. I have presumed this would not do the Dove any good.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, all the rodenticides have the potential to kill birds, either by direct ingestion or indirectly via poisened animals that they then eat.
The later is a particular problem for owls, but can affect any animal that eats poisoned rodents.
The third generation agents, pretty much everything except Warfarin, are the most potent and long lasting and pose the greatest risk.
It is a vicious circle, we poison the rodents which leads to the death of natural predaters and you guessed it, more rodents !!
Cheers

Use the drop traps or the "crayfish pot" style traps.
Then gas them.
Then gas them.
