Whilst they can't & never have got into my aviaries, I wish to get rid of the few that live on the aviary outside.
I have used "Ratsak double strength" and "Ratblitz" with limited success. I have used traps with peanut butter which they won't touch.
I have also tried the blue blocks which they rarely touch.

I have no pets so there is no risk to animals. I have spikes on the top of all fences to stop animals from entering the yard.

Does anyone have a recommendation for the best most effective product available please?

We find the plastic bins with drops coated in Peanut paste most effective. Then gas them in the same bins with the lid on - use a fire extinguisher for gas.
But nothing will guarantee 100% eradication in my experience.
I live in Wheat country, and we have had years (recently) when getting a dozen and a half each day in the bins is usual.
So I have lots of practice at eliminating them.

Mice LOVE Marshmallows, I've found. I cut them in half (to release all the smells lol) and use peanut butter to stick them to the trap I'm using. It's a live catch trap cause I feel for them, so they go into the freezer to fall asleep and die, then I feed them to my chickens.

Thanks Nellyq,
Can you share which trap you use please?
I have been 'feeding' a crumbs type bait to them for well over a month. It cost $55 delivered for a 3kg container. I don't know if I am allowed to name the product here, but it is hopeless. The mice seem to love the stuff with no resultant dead bodies anywhere. They will eat as much as I put out every day. The other product I have tried is in pellet form - Same result.

You can name products here especially if they are not working for you. It gives others a heads up and not to waste their time and money.
I did have good results with the mortien brand in pellet form from a supermarket especially with rats 🐀

It's called the big cheese, multi catch mouse trap from binnings. $25. So far I've caught 11 from beside.my avairy and 4 that my cat has brought inside. She's a poo, catches them and brings them in perfectly healthy and alive to show me, and lets them go.

Mum has one of those in her budgie breeding room, it is quite effective.
While I just got the sneeky sod that moved into the house with one of the blue and yellow plastic ones that tip up and catch them alive. Which requires hubby to drown them.
