Old pair vs. new pair... zebra finches

Half a metre square would work for a pair of Zebs. The recommended is a general guide. Many finches need more than the recommended space. But Zebs are one of the few that can be happy with less.

Or i could just get another pair and put the two in with the others so there is three. and then it should be ok. right??? not very helpful am i. Will it affect the babies if i did put two pairs in there??

Remeber to allow enough space for the babies too. And Zebs are very prolific breeders.

im pretty sure there would be enough room, its a massive aviary. So adding the another pair is ok then? prolific???

I agree with taking them out and changing the perches around and when i got new birds they were in a cage on top of the little aviary that i have and the next morning they where dead

hmmmm welll, i would imagine it is about 1.5 metres across and its a hexagon and its about two metres high.

Look at some of the posts on here where people have pictures of their avairys. I would say your avairy is big enough for 3 pair of Zebs, just be prepared to sell your excess.

no probs with that size for 3 pair my dad has a few of them as holding cages but the more you put in meens it may need a trap door.....pete
